To-date, I have spent my working life in the tech sector in a range of guises.

For a number of years, I worked with some of the finest inventors in the UK, drafting and prosecuting patent applications. But I eventually decided I preferred being the one doing the creating myself.

I have since been working in research, technical leadership, strategy and consulting in horizon scanning, cyber security and AI, addressing some of the most pressing technical challenges we face today.

Instinctively I enjoy grappling with technology - not only in how it works, but what it means for an individual, a family, an organisation, a nation. I’ve always had a deep sense that technology can be a profound force for good, helping us to mitigate certain aspects of our human condition.

Yet organisations today are faced with the immeasurable challenge of keeping pace with technology, maintaining a competitive advantage, as well as retaining an appreciation of what it’s all about: enabling your customers to thrive.
